    The Great Trek

Overland camping through South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana

Traverse beautiful Southern Africa to experience the wildlife, scenery, and cultures of Botswana and Namibia on this "limited participation" camping safari. Observe the dramatic geological detail of the Fish River Canyon and The Namib Desert, and continue on to Etosha National Park, Okavango River Delta, and Victoria Falls. Stalk unusual wildlife, from the flamingos in Walvis Bay to lions and cheetahs in Etosha National Park, and meet the fascinating Himba people. If you are very adventurous, try sandboarding, quadbiking, skydiving, kayaking, hot air ballooning, and scenic flights over the Namib Desert. From the sprawling dunes of the Namib to the peaks of The Spitzkoppe Mountains, The Great Trek is the perfect combination of unforgettable adventurous natural and cultural experiences. This trip includes long driving distances.
