Heart of Amazonia—Cruising the Rio Negro

Wildlife and forests from Manaus and the Anavilhanas archipelago to Rio Jauaperi

Sign on for the most personal, spectacular, professional, Amazon cruise available. Your ship, the Tucano, is a nine-cabin motor yacht with lovely salon and observation deck, private facilities, air-conditioning and delicious food. Mammal sightings will likely include peccaries, river otters, river dolphins, capybara, agouti, and coatimundi; squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys and howlers; and, if you're extremely lucky, ocelot. Tropical bird species, too numerous to list, include bananatits, nighthawks, curassows, kites barbets, oropendula, caracara, trogons, parrots and macaws. Your captain, crew and naturalist-guides are committed to preserving the integrity of the eco-system; they continually vary their routes to keep enthusiasm high, and to minimize environmental impact while maximizing wildlife spotting.  This trip is offered twice monthly, year-round.
