Colombia's biodiversity is fantastic, and her scenery is varied and dramatic from the high Andes to the coasts along the Caribbean and the Pacific. JOURNEYS can help you customize your exploration to suit your interests, incorporating hiking, birding, botany, culture, photography, coffee, volcanos, horseback riding, thermal pools, and more.
The Andes Alive itinerary presented here suggests an efficient 8-day plan beginning in Medellin, continuing deep into Andean pueblo country, and continuing to the heights of Nevado del Ruiz Volcano and the wildlife reserve at Rio Blanco. It's easy to expand any section of the itinerary, and/or add Cocora Valley, Bogota, Cartagena, and the beaches of Tayrona National Park. Eight days allow for a very satisfying taste of wild Colombia but if you have two or three weeks, you won't run out of things to do.
