"This was a great trip, not what I call a 'normal' tour, and more elaborate than anywhere else in Mexico. I loved that we stayed a minimum of three nights at each place, that the itinerary was outlined but not rigid. I loved meeting the artists ... visiting behind the garden gates ... walking in the marigold fields. I loved the unfolding of the Day of the Dead, arriving before the locals on the island of Janitzio, feeling a part of it ... We were travelers, not tourists."
