This memorable family trip, accompanied by our excellent in-country guide Wang Qin (“Emily”), is a great way to get acquainted with China's diverse sights, flora, and fauna. Prepare to be awed by the scale and size of Beijing's Forbidden City, poke around Beijing's historic hutong neighborhoods, climb the towers of the Great Wall of China, learn about and care for giant pandas, and bicycle around stunning countryside. Visit the lovely and green city of Chengdu, explore atmospheric old Huanglongxi, sit on the toe of Leshan's giant stone Buddha, and experience the bustle and energy of Hong Kong. We have also arranged for you to attend or participate in various cultural events such as Kung fu, Beijing Opera, bian lian (“face changing”) Sichuan opera, cooking demonstration, and an unusual grand scale performance on the riverfront in Yangshuo.

"Emily won an award as a National Top 10 English-language guides in 1996, and she continues to love and excel at her work. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable; she is impressively attentive and nurturing. She repeatedly went out of her way, above and beyond her job description, to meet our needs. The ease and skill with which she navigated the transportation, dining, logistics, and exploration gave us, in turn, a feeling of total trust and comfort."
