The Ambullua Trek is a moderate trek through grassland and rainforest, surrounded by the mountains of the Bismark Range. The local people are friendly and welcoming, rarely seeing visitors. "We've traveled the world and experienced many primitive cultures but we can honestly say the 4 days we spent in the Highlands with our guides Rafael and Godfrey provided the most enjoyable adventure we've had. The scenery alone would have been worth the journey, but the greatest privilege was to be invited into the villages, to be made so welcome and to be allowed such an insight into a unique and ancient way of life, where everyone smiles and wants only to shake your hand. The memories we bring home with us of traditional dances, costumes, music and the feasts cooked in our honor will stay with us forever. A lifetime of memories in only 4 days…" - Alistair & Jacqui H. - September 2002
