Flinders Chase National Park

Flinders Chase National Park is a national park located in southern Australia. It is composed of a group of protected areas at the western end of Kangaroo Island. It includes coastal landscapes, the Cape du Couedic, and Rocky River, and the Gosse Lands. The park is located 110 kilometers west of Kingscote, the island's largest town.

Since the creation of the national park in 1919, Flinders Chase has become a sanctuary for endangered species. Some of them were introduced from the continent in the 1920s and 1930s. During the 1940s, 23 additional species were introduced, including the koala and the platypus. Most of these species can still be observed today in Flinders Chase National Park.
