Cultural Safaris

Cultural trips, tours, and safaris focus on the joy of cross-cultural learning and communication. As distinct from Community Based Tourism, you are not quite as deeply immersed in a single culture or  single family experience. You will meet a variety of people very different from you and learn from them. JOURNEYS cultural safaris explore cultural diversity - artistically, musically, spiritually, and through conversation and interaction. These are trips for those who like meeting other people and enjoy sharing and learning. Our cultural trips utilize smaller, locally-owned accommodations whose owners may participate on the trips. Your guides are likely to be representatives of the areas and cultures you will visit, but also good English speakers and experienced as leaders. The following trips offer a sharp cultural focus. If you have specific cross-cultural travel interests in music, art, language, dance, or other area, call and ask to speak with a JOURNEYS destination specialist about your interests.
