Special Value Trips

Special value trips may be the best way to realize your travel dreams on a budget.  All of these trips benefit from JOURNEYS full-time travel support staff and pre-departure travel services. The same reliable local operators stand behind these trips and local services and, often, your daily activity schedule is just as full and varied as tours costing much more. You will visit many of the same locations as on our regular trips, but we have found ways for you to fully experience the destination with a lower cost for pre-paid arrangements.  We have respected your travel budget with some combination of  less expensive accommodations, fewer included meals, shorter itineraries, and more reliance on your travel skills for some transfers or other services. In  some cases you benefit from joining a non-JOURNEYS group, using public transportation or utilizing the professional services of staff and guides at your destinations rather than the personal attention of an accompanying private guide for just your group. Our concept of special value travel is intended to preserve the full potential of your destination for personal  discovery, environmental exploration and cross-cultural learning.   For travelers who are self-confident and focused more on the adventure of travel, than assured quality of accommodations and fully-inclusive services, special value trips are perfect for your budget and spirit.
